Through attention-grabbing events and grassroots petitions, we've built momentum for elephants. Together, we can shut ivory markets around the world.
You let the U.S. government know the importance of a federal ivory ban. That helped spur action in 2016, when the Obama administration enacted the 4(d) rule. Months later, China promised to follow suit.
Together, we set the Guinness World Records title for the largest display of origami elephants with submissions from all 50 U.S. states and 40 countries worldwide. This big event helped raise awareness about the elephant poaching crisis.
We encourage countries to destroy their existing ivory stockpiles in part to send a powerful message about the illegal ivory trade. We helped lead a prominent event in Times Square in the Summer of 2015, when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service crushed a ton of confiscated ivory.
Last chance to make a difference in 2018: Your help is crucial to securing the resources to keep wildlife safe and protect the places they call home. Donate by December 31 to help save elephants and other threatened wildlife.
