Earlier this year, the BBC listed our own Jonathan Slaght as one of "seven people doing amazing things in extreme environments." In Slaght's case, that environment is the Russian Far East, where he studies the largest owl in the world, the Blakiston's fish owl. It makes for some incrediblestories. His tweets this month, covering everything from the city of Vladivostok's Tiger Day celebration to running out of gas way out in the woods, have not disappointed.
