Diane Detoeuf

Senior Social Science Technical Advisor

Diane Detoeuf brings over a decade of experience with the WCS, including seven years in Central Africa supporting community conservation teams. As a Senior Social Science Technical Advisor within the global Rights & Communities team, she works with field programs across Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

She specializes in digital tools for social sciences and safeguards, using KoboToolbox for cloud-based data collection and developing data integration workflows. Diane piloted and scaled implementation of key monitoring tools including the Basic Necessities Survey and Natural Resources Governance Tool, while training teams on efficient data collection and management.

As GRM Administrator, she manages grievance mechanism data systems and provides technical support. She also serves as the IRB Administrator and reviews social science research protocols.

Her expertise spans theories of change, monitoring and evaluation, and coaching on the Conservation Standards. She is a member of the Conservation Measures Partnership and the Conservation Social Science Partnership.
