Earth Day 2021

April 22, 2021

WCS staff on 5 continents share Earth Day messages

The effects of the climate crisis are felt around the world. In floods and fires. In intense storms and sea level rise. In communities forced to relocate and species driven to extinction.

At WCS, we are tackling this unprecedented crisis through science. Because through science, we can better understand the impacts of the climate crisis. We can put into action on-the-ground solutions to save our planetary home before it's too late.

A year ago, we launched Seeing is Believing, an ongoing feature highlighting the impacts WCS staff and friends are seeing on the ground right now. Our hope is to promote conversation and inspire the actions needed to save Earth from this crisis.

WCS staff in our four zoos and the aquarium, and our global team working in field sites in nearly 60 countries, have dedicated themselves to this effort. Their optimism in the face of great challenges comes through in these video messages.

Check out our montage with Earth Day messages from across the world.

"I am hopeful that on upcoming Earth Days we will celebrate our collective efforts at building a carbon neutral and nature positive future."
