Penguins

This Magellanic penguin stole the most hearts with 38% of the vote.

Endangered Species

The stunning Amur Leopard garnered the most attention with 28% of the vote in this contest.

Superb Owl

The real contest on Superb Owl Sunday was among these beautiful birds in a very close race. The Eurasian eagle owl came out on top with 24% of the vote, barely edging out the Snowy owl, who gets an honorable mention.

Marine Animals

This seemingly super-friendly sea otter received 38% of the votes in the marine animal category.

Arctic Animals

Perhaps it is no surprise that this snow-loving polar bear and poster animal for the Arctic was the winner with 31% of the vote.

Rainforest Animals

The magnificent jaguar received 31% of the votes to edge out the other tropical forest dwellers.

Thank you to all who participated and made this 50 Days for Wildlife successful in raising awareness, inspiring action, and helping to protect some of the most vulnerable wildlife and the wild places they rely on. We had more than 30,000 views, almost 20,000 votes, and more than 500 shares, and each one encourages support for our mission to ensure a future for the Earth’s most magnificent species and the habitats critical to their survival.
