Check out this parrot-heavy shot of a clay salt lick in Amazonia shared by WCS Ecuador.

According to WCS's Galo Zapata-Rios, there are two main reasons the birds line up at this buffet. They get much-needed minerals from these salt licks. Plus, the clay here helps protect their digestive tracts from toxic substances in the fruit they eat.
