Primate Behavior

 Grades 7-12
What’s the difference between a lip flip and an eyebrow raise? What’s a bluff charge? In this program, students will observe primates such as gibbons, gelada baboons, and ebony langurs as never before, to learn about the behaviors of this unique order of mammals. Students will use ethograms and conduct first-hand behavioral studies. They will also examine an amazing array of primate skulls and leave with a new appreciation of humans’ closest relatives.

Are your students looking for ideas to complete their 8th grade science exit project? The Bronx Zoo is the perfect place to do a behavioral study and gain practical experience and knowledge through first hand observations.
