Green STEM: Building a Sustainable Future

This course is designed to empower teachers to introduce their students to sustainable practice. By focusing on green technology, we will take a careful look at green building design and investigate the impact buildings have on our environment. Teachers will construct their own house, modifying it throughout the course in an effort to make it an ecologically friendly structure. By conducting field experiments and visiting LEED certified historic structures, teachers will acquire the knowledge and materials needed to help them design effective and engaging STEM-based lessons for use in their classrooms.
