WCS’s Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo Hold “Presents to the Animals” Events
Donate a new toy for children affected by Hurricane Sandy, and receive a ticket to the Bronx Zoo
New York – December 5, 2012– The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park and Queens Zoos will hold ‘Presents to the Animals’ events in December
The schedule at Prospect Park Zoo is:
- Saturdays and Sundays in December, 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
December 8/9: baboons at both times
December 15/16: golden lion tamarins and Pallas’s cats
December 22/23: meerkats and mongoose
December 29/30: Geoffrey’s tamarins and North American river otters
The schedule at the Queens Zoo is:
- Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 8 – 9 and 15 – 16:
Coyotes: 1 p.m.
Pumas: 2:15 p.m.
Andean bears: 2:45 p.m.
Each zoo will accept new, unwrapped toys for children who live in communities hit by Hurricane Sandy. Those that make a qualifying donation of a new toy through Monday, Dec. 31 will receive a ticket to the Bronx Zoo.** For more information, please visit www.prospectparkzoo.com
