Just minutes old, these loggerhead turtles move as if they are trying to swim through the sand. Reaching the sea without getting lost or eaten is the first of many trials the hatchlings face. Once in the water, sea turtles young and old must cope with the threats of poaching, habitat destruction, and accidental run-ins with fishing nets.
