This blue iguana, named Gorgonzola, represents the future of her critically endangered species. She is part of a breeding program on Grand Cayman that is boosting the blue iguana population, which numbered fewer than 25 individuals in 2002. Since then, the program has released 500-plus of these lizards into the wild.
