Climate Change and Conservation

Climate Change and Conservation Photo
Ganges river dolphins, indigenous to Bangladesh and India, are one of the species discussed in Climate and Conservation, a new book co-edited by WCS Drs. Jodi Hilty and Molly Cross that explores conservation-planning in response to climate change.

Sensitive to changes in salinity and water flows caused by changing sea levels, these freshwater dolphins provide managers with a better understanding of the waterscape-level impacts of climate change and inform proactive management of the Bangladesh mangroves and fishing areas. Climate and Conservation presents nineteen case studies to offer conservationists guidance in incorporating climate change into their work.
