How long will it take to receive my Virtual Membership materials?

Your materials (card, pin, t-shirt, bag) will be mailed to the address on file within 4-6 weeks from the date of purchase.


When does my Virtual Membership expire?

Virtual memberships expire one (1) year from the date of purchase.


What benefits are included in my Virtual Membership?

Virtual members receive –

  • 20% off tickets for the Bronx Zoo, NY Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Queens & Prospect Park Zoo
  • 10% discount on food and gift shop purchases at select locations
  • Discounts on Wild Encounters & Tree Top Adventure Climb & Zip
  • Free swag – one (1) members only shirt, pin and reusable bag
  • Quarterly newsletter

Virtual Memberships are not valid for parking or entry to fee based rides, attractions or events.


How can I purchase parks tickets with my 20% discount?

WCS parks provide families with a safe recreational space to enjoy! In order to manage the visit demand at our parks, all guests, including WCS Members, must have a timed ticket for entry. In order to purchase your 20% discounted ticket, please call our membership customer service center at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm EST daily. Please be sure to check out our Know Before You Go page for the latest important updates and information when planning your visit.


Can I apply my park ticket(s) towards a Virtual Membership?

Unfortunately since Virtual Memberships do not include free entry into our parks, we are unable to deduct admission tickets. Tickets can be deducted off our WCS Memberships since they include free admission into our parks for one (1) year along with other amazing benefits. Is my Virtual Membership tax deductible?

$47.00 of your Virtual Membership is tax-deductible.


How many adults can be named on a Virtual Membership?

Virtual memberships are only valid for 1 adult.


Can I change the name on my Virtual Membership?

Virtual memberships are non-transferable. Only the named adult on the card can utilize its benefits.


Can I purchase a Virtual Membership for my child?

Unfortunately, the individual named on the account must be an adult (18+).


Do I have to wait for my permanent card to arrive in order to purchase a discounted ticket?

No, you can use your temporary membership card or we can look-up your membership information by calling our membership customer service center at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm EST daily.


Is there a senior discount on Virtual Memberships?

At this time, we do not offer senior rates on our virtual memberships.


How many cards will I receive in the mail?

You will receive one (1) card in the mail of the design you selected at checkout.

Why must I show ID at the gate?

As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on Membership dues and attendance fees for support. To prevent the misuse of your Membership card, we ask that you show a photo ID. We appreciate your understanding.
