How to Give

The North America Program is grateful for the generous support of our donors.  Please consider making a gift through one of the following methods:

Check (cash)
Checks should be made payable to the “Wildlife Conservation Society” with a note in the memo section specifying your intent to support the North America Program or one of our current projects.

Credit Card
Credit card gifts can be made online using WCS’ secure website.  Make sure to specify that your gift is for North America Program Projects or choose to specify one of our current projects. 

Gifts of Securities – Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
Increasing numbers donors are making gifts to WCS using appreciated securities – including publicly traded and privately held stock and mutual funds.  The attraction of this method is that the donor is entitled to a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of appreciated securities held longer than one year, and is exempt from the capital gains tax that would be due if the donor sold the securities.  Securities held less than one year may also be donated, but the deduction is limited to the lesser cost basis or market value.

Planned Gifts
A wonderful way to support the future of the North America Program is to provide for a future gift, either through your estate plan, a life income gift, such as a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust, or through other venues such as charitable lead trusts or gifts of life insurance or retirement assets.  For more information on planned gifts, visit WCS' Planned Giving website.
