A simple way to make a meaningful gift to Wildlife Conservation Society is to make provisions for it in your will. You can leave a certain dollar amount, specific property, or a portion or remainder of your estate to WCS.

There is no limit to the amount you can leave, and all bequests made to WCS or any other charitable institution are free from federal estate taxes.

When preparing your will or codicil (an amendment to your existing will), the Trustees of the Wildlife Conservation Society recommend that members and friends consider the following bequest language:

To the Wildlife Conservation Society, a not-for-profit, tax exempt organization incorporated in the State of New York in 1895, having its principal address the Wildlife Conservation Society, 2300 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, New York, 10460, I hereby give and bequeath _________for the Society's general purposes.

To make sure that we are able to meet the challenge of future pressing wildlife and conservation issues we ask that you add the following paragraph to your will or codicil:

"If at some future time, in the judgement of the Trustees of the Wildlife Conservation Society, it is no longer practical to use the income or principal of this bequest for the purposes intended, the Trustees have the right to use the income or principal for whatever they deem necessary and most closely in accord with the intent described herein."
