Webinars and Webcasts

Our teacher webinars and student webcasts are a unique opportunity to learn directly from WCS scientists about global conservation efforts that affect our planet.

Our webinar and webcast series will be inspired by global conservation challenges that WCS is working to solve. These include local livelihoods, natural resource use, wildlife health, and climate change. Each webinar and webcast will feature a discussion with a WCS scientist followed by a presentation by an educator from one of our facilities. Participants will hear about conservation projects while simultaneously learning how to incorporate this important research into their curriculum. By pairing these two facets of the WCS mission we are helping to bring conservation into classrooms around the country.

  • Learn about conservation efforts locally and abroad
  • Discover ways WCS works to save wildlife and wild places through research and conservation
  • Enjoy conservation stories from WCS scientists
  • Provide your students with positive STEM role models
  • View spectacular field photos, video and presentations
  • Explore strategies and resources to enhance your curriculum with wildlife

Immediately following the presentation, WCS educators will facilitate a discussion about strategies to include wildlife and conservation topics in the classroom to enhance your students' learning. Our live webinars are eligible for PD credit hours and a certificate can be provided upon completion.
