The WCS Animal Enrichment Program is a key component of our commitment to the health and wellbeing of the thousands of creatures in our care. The program provides animals at the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and Prospect Park Zoo with new opportunities to exercise both mind and body.
As the newest activity in our enrichment repertoire, WCS’s gorillas, elephants, goats, sea lions, and pygmy porcupines are learning to make colorful artwork with non-toxic paint, under the guidance of animal trainers and keepers.
This unique activity, and many of the activities of WCS’s Animal Enrichment Program are supported by Benjamin Moore & Co. and Natura, its new line of non-toxic, odorless paint.
WCS and Benjamin Moore Paints are inspired by nature and committed in their efforts to preserve, protect, and beautify the environment. Be inspired and take action in your everyday life to save wildlife and wild places.
