Egg-citement

Some eggs are hard-shelled while others are soft and squishy. Some are sat upon, others are buried, while still others are swallowed or carried on the backs of their parents. For birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and yes, even some mammals, this is where it all begins. To help them figure out “eggs-actly” which eggs are which, 5- to 7-year old children will crack open clues to participate in a mixed-up egg race, “eggs-amine” eggs of all different colors, and hatch their very own Egg-citement story. Your “eggs-pert” will meet an “egg-ceptionally” fine-feathered mom to learn how she cares for her young and a baby tortoise who had to find its own way out of its nest.  Of course, this eggs-travanganza wouldn’t be complete without the chance to explore the zoo in search of some of our newest animal babies.
